the vision //
pilotED believes deeply in the power, expertise, and leadership of teachers and principals across the nation. Through our annual Learning Network program pilotED empowers and supports cohorts of talented, values-aligned teachers and school leaders through culturally-sustaining professional development, academic & wellness coaching, and literacy curriculum enhancement.

the details //
School leaders and teachers selected to be a part of the 2022 pilotED Learning Network program will garner the individual development needed to further collective impact within and beyond their school communities. This experience provides participants and their school communities with:
  • an identity-affirming enhanced version of their current mainstream, standards-aligned literacy curriculum,
  • quarterly school-wide professional development,
  • regular small-group coaching,
  • and large-group collaboration sessions with participants from across the nation.

The pilotED Learning Network program provides the comprehensive, year-long support and enhanced curriculum needed to increase student achievement and wellness, while expanding educators’ ability to engage in culturally sustaining, healing-centered practices so that they and their students thrive.

pilotED Learning Network participants nurture their sense of belonging within and beyond their school communities as they join pilotED’s nationwide movement to ensure American education is radically different for students. This program cultivates participants’ professional and civic power and prompt network learning so that participants can better navigate the complexities of increasing student achievement and wellness. Ultimately, this program will result in dramatic gains in participants’ capacity to engage in critical, courageous dialogue and innovative pedagogical practice as they support their students in accessing the curriculum and experiences needed for them to lead self-determined lives and thrive.
